Old Town is Quito’s main attraction. This UNESCO World Heritage Site presents a busy environment with visitors attracted to its colonial buildings and monuments. Also found in Quito and considered one of South America’s most beautiful churches, La Compañía de Jesus Church displays artistically decorated architecture fitted with sculptures and altars, showing its extraordinary history.
Los Frailes Beach is a scenic white sand beach situated near Puerto Lopez. More than the scenic beach, it also offers nature trails leading to the forest with some unique birds, including the blue-footed boobies.
Located in Guayaquil, Iguana Park is no ordinary city park. Also called Parque Seminario, it is filled not just with trees and benches but with free-roaming iguanas as well. While its waterways are home to turtles and fish, jumping squirrels can be found in the branches of its trees.
